This tool helps you identify matches with high goal potential using data, not to guarantee outcomes. Use it to spot strong goal-related angles, not as a final prediction source.

- Check recent form (W/D/L) in the same venue context as the current match: home form for the home team and away form for the away team.
- Review head-to-head matches to see whether recent meetings produced goals consistently and whether this fixture has shown a pattern of open games.
- Check the season venue record to compare how the home team performs at home and how the away team performs away.
Venue Performance
The match page includes two metric sections:
- one based on the full season
- one based on recent matches to reflect current form
For Over 2.5 and BTTS ideas, it is usually a positive sign when the values are high on both sides.
Ideally, you want both teams to show strong attacking numbers and also allow chances or shots against.
Key Metrics
- xG / xG Against – xG shows how many chances a team creates, while xG against shows how many chances they allow. For Over 2.5 and BTTS, it is usually better when both teams have solid xG and both teams also have relatively high xG against.
- Shots on Target / Shots on Target Against – these help show how active and open the match may become. Higher attacking shots on target and higher shots on target allowed from both teams can support goal-based bets.
- Over 2.5 % – shows how often that team’s matches finish with at least 3 total goals. High values on both sides are a strong sign for open-game potential.
- Over 0.5 % in 1st Half – shows how often there was at least 1 goal in the first half of that team’s matches. This does not mean the team scored it, only that the match had a first-half goal. High values on both sides support a faster game script.
- BTTS % – shows how often both teams scored in that team’s matches. High BTTS percentages on both sides support the idea that neither team keeps games one-sided too often.
Examples of interpretation for percentages
- High Over 2.5 % for both teams plus high first-half goal % for both teams → stronger Over 2.5 profile.
- High BTTS % for both teams plus low clean sheet % for both teams → stronger BTTS profile.
- High failed to score % for one team can weaken a BTTS idea even if the opponent is involved in many open games.
- High Over 2.5 % but low BTTS % can suggest matches where one team scores a lot but the other side often does not contribute.
- High BTTS % plus high xG against on both sides can be a strong sign that both teams are likely to create and also concede chances.
How rankings are calculated
The Over 2.5 and BTTS rankings are built by combining multiple data points into one score for each match.
The model compares teams in their specific home and away context, using both season data and recent venue form.
For Over 2.5, the ranking mainly uses:
expected goals, season Over 2.5 rates, recent Over 2.5 form,
shots on target environment and head-to-head average goals.
For BTTS, the ranking mainly uses:
season BTTS rates, low clean sheet rates, low failed to score rates
and the expected scoring environment for both teams.
Small boosts can also be applied in specific situations,
such as strong xG projections together with strong head-to-head goal patterns.
The final result is a ranked shortlist of matches worth analyzing first, not a guaranteed prediction.
