To Score – Top 5 Leagues Players
Shortlist of players most likely to score in the next match based on performance and opponent context.
How the ranking is calculated
Players are ranked using a weighted score built from percentile ranks and adjusted for minutes played. We first filter to players above a minimum minutes threshold then convert each metric to a 0–100 percentile within the dataset.
- Player threat (70%) combines npxG and xG per 90, shots, shots on target and penalty-box touches using weighted percentiles.
- Opponent vulnerability (30%) uses percentiles of the opponent’s npxGA, shots on target conceded and goal-creating actions conceded.
- Finishing adjustment adds a small bonus or penalty based on G−xG percentile clipped to reduce extremes.
Final score = 0.70 × Player Threat + 0.30 × Opponent Vulnerability + Finishing Adjustment. Rankings are then sorted by this final score for the upcoming fixture.
