To Commit Fouls – Top 5 Leagues Players

Players most likely to commit a foul in the next match based on defensive involvement, disciplinary tendencies and the foul-drawing profile of the opponent.

How the ranking is calculated

Players are ranked using a weighted score that combines individual foul tendency with how strongly the upcoming opponent forces fouls. To ensure fair comparisons, only players above a minimum playing-time threshold are included and every metric is converted into a percentile score within the dataset.

  • Player foul tendency (70%) focuses primarily on fouls committed. It is supported by defensive actions that often lead to fouls, such as challenges attempted, tackles per ninety minutes, interceptions, yellow cards per ninety minutes and aerial duel involvement.
  • Opponent foul-forcing profile (30%) rewards matchups against teams that typically draw fouls. It includes attacking behaviours linked to contact situations, such as dribbles attempted, progressive carries and sustained involvement in the middle third and attacking third. It also includes the rate at which the opponent typically draws fouls from other teams.
  • Extra context: who the opponent tends to draw fouls from is added by listing the opponent’s three players most likely to be fouled, using fouls drawn per ninety minutes combined with dribble attempts and progressive carries.

The final score combines seventy percent of the player foul tendency with thirty percent of the opponent foul-forcing profile. The dashboard also shows the opponent’s top foul-drawing players to help interpret the matchup.
