To Assist – Top 5 Leagues Players
Shortlist of players most likely to register an assist in the next match based on chance creation and opponent context.
How the ranking is calculated
Players are ranked using a weighted score that combines individual creative output with the defensive tendencies of the upcoming opponent. To ensure fair comparison, only players above a minimum playing-time threshold are included, and every metric is converted into a percentile score within the dataset.
- Player creation score (72%) measures how frequently and how effectively a player creates goal-scoring opportunities. It combines expected assists, key passes, passes into the penalty area, actual assists, touches inside the opponent’s penalty area, and goal-creating actions, each weighted according to their relevance.
- Opponent vulnerability score (28%) reflects how likely the opposing team is to concede assists. This includes how often they allow passes into the penalty area, key passes, crosses into the box, touches inside their own penalty area, shots on target conceded, goal-creating actions conceded, and their underlying expected goals conceded.
The final ranking score is calculated by combining seventy-two percent of the player creation score with twenty-eight percent of the opponent vulnerability score. Players are then ranked according to this final score for the upcoming fixture.
